Salt air and sealing

Monterey sits directly on the bay, and the marine layer that rolls in most mornings carries salt. On plain concrete that mostly means surface spalling shows up sooner than it would in Salinas; on stamped or colored concrete it means the sealer is doing real work and needs renewing on the short end of the usual two-to-three-year interval.
